Anaconda's newest attraction, the Copper Chute, is a super slide at the Charlotte Yeoman Martin Complex on the northeast edge of Anaconda. For directions, call the Anaconda Chamber at 563-2400 or send e-mail to anacondachamber@rfwave.net.
The slide starts atop a 40-foot mound of earth and undulates to the bottom in sections with varying slopes, none steeper than 45 degrees. A sand pit at the bottom of the 140-foot slide breaks the ride, but riders can bail out safely before reaching the bottom.

The surface of the slide is made out of puckboard -- the same material used around the sides of hockey rinks. It is high density plastic that is extremely durable and requires little maintenance. The slide is open to kids of all ages and best of all -- it's free.
